That edited 300 someone posted with circular rear lights - how about using corvette rear lights as a mod to a 300 ?

Think it would look good/would work ?

That would look the dogs @%&£$@$*s if you could get it to fit !!

Reckon the diameter would be too big though ?

Ferrari 308/328 lights might fit but could be a bit pricey ? ;)

Is it only me who thinks they would look cool ?

It would make identifying our cars even harder for the uninitiated ;) :)

You mean a bit like this;

Ok, maybe not... :) But I think they are vette lights - certainly very reminiscent of them... Only pic I could find..

WTF !!

No, not like that !!

Well, the red lights are kind of what I'm thinking of, but with all the other stuff left on. Leave the black surround and the reversing light and 300ZX logo.

Don't know - like that one posted the other day. Not like a Fiat conversion !! Large rear lights with black panel and reversing strip lights etc. I've not seen ot done on an actual car - I wouldn't mind being the first !;) :D

I don't mind the rear lights too much, but what I've never been very keen on is the big sticky out bumper. I do however like the Griffith style back end - any photoshop experts care to mock something up ?

Like this one - John Shaw's !

I think you'd need to cut into the rear panel to get anything larger in there - would like mighty fine though !

No, I'm sure you can get bigger than those in there. The rear light panel is at least 6-8 inches in height - plenty of room for Vette lights surely.

The panel on that car is smaller, amking the small lights look like the biggest possible. That car has a classic Fiat look to me - I'd rather leave the stock light as they are than go for them.

I think John's lights are a direct bolt on replacement for our standard ones actually. They are for sale as such at Zcentre.co.uk.

I still reckon you'd have to cut into the bodywork to go any bigger; but it should be worth it ! Could possibly cut into the boot instead to get the extra gap; the bit where the high level brake light goes !

Nelson are you talking about this photoshopped pic of my zed?

I was thinking of getting the lights from a Diablo kit car - like this kit car:

The lights are quite cheap to buy from the various kit car manufacturers, but you need to make up the mounting from fiberglass or something.

Yes, that's the pic - I would like my 300 to look like that.:)

Just had a thought - how about shading (white to black) the red lights towards the centre of the panel such that it looks like the lights have moved ! I reckon that would look really cool on the black panel. Or just vertical lines (or semi-circles) which get closer together as they approach the lights.

Could you do a mock up of that ?

Saw a silver Z in Heswall (Wirral) last night and rear stock lights looked cool. Maybe the round ones only look better in the day ??

Would look a lot better if they made them without those hideous reflectors stuck in the middle, or at least made the surface of the reflectors smooth and flush with the rest of the light !
