Hi, finally I'm gonna fit my Bovs 2morrow, instructions are in Jap, ive had a look at Andy P's link, still not 100%. Has anyone fitted these Bovs before?, are there any tips or advice that you can give?

Yep, do they have hard pipes with them, if they do, right pain in the arse to fit in !!! A bit of twisting and turning to get in the right place and all is well. The drivers side goes in extremely close to the hicas system and the passenger side, very close to the fuse box but they will go in with perserverance !

 

Remove and block off the old ones or they will not be very loud ! I went to a heating shop and found some metal end stops which fit in the original pipes perfectly.

 

Voila and they do sound nice, you can't hear them until you really give it some and then let off !!!

 

Beware of the bolts behind the original recircs, make sure you undo those as well.

Olly, they dont come with hard pipes!but do come with fitting kit!, didnt get to fit them 2day had 2 go in 2 work :(, as far as I can work out the frnt bumper has to come off, is this easy to do?

If they don't come with hard pipes then they must replace the recircs ! You don't have to remove the bumper to do this !

 

Remove the front panel, air filter and pipe and look down on each side you will see the original valves. Undo two bolts on each one and the two jubilee clips. Pull the valve out and do the same the other side.

 

Your kit must come with a valve and a bung for each side, put them in and then use the original vacuum feed to each one.

 

Voila dumping everywhere !!!

Fitted my HKS in place of re-circs, same as above regards to instrctions, def don't take bumper off!!! There will be a blanking off kinda cap, but just by looking at it-I reckon you'll find its self explanitory how it all goes on! From memory there is right hidden nut under the re-circs, so make sure that comes off before you start tugging at them!

Going on holiday on monday for 2 weeks, bit of surfing in Lanzarote, if u haven't got round to fitting them by time I get back, I'll come round and give you a hand if u want.

 

........then we can we can bomb it round your way syncronising our "tsschhhhhh" 's !! making the grannies run for cover.

 

....but not over 30mph you understand.

Not sure until I get them, they may be one of those universal fitting jobbies, therefore they will go in place of the recircs.

I reckon mine love it as I also have no boxes in my exhaust system with 4" tailpipes on the end. To say loud aint the word !!!
