Any ideas why the ABS warning light would be on and how to test for possible issues.

The cars been in the air for 9 months with the battery disconnected and there wasn’t an issue before it went up.

To the best of my knowledge I haven’t touched anything to do with the brakes and the car passed its MOT yesterday (the light may have been on yesterday as you can hardly see the warning light in the bright sun).

The fluid level is spot on and the ABS fuse in the engine bay is fine. The car also drives fine and brakes well although I obviously haven’t hit them hard enough for the ABS to need to kick in.

Thanks,

Chris.

There is a test function you can perform. The ABS ECU is inside the off-side rear interior panel - essentially behind your seat-belt. Gently pull the trim away, you'll see the rectangle box - it has an LED which flashed to indicate the fault code.

Give me a mo and I'll dig out the link Andrew sent me.....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
