Then enjoy it to its fullest:) cos you know its worth it:D a Z is for life not for the hamburger badge LOL.

Very true  - could've had TWO zeds (and probably run 'em both) for the cost of getting married and honeymoon last summer!

Bottled water?! LOL! Must try that one!

Pete

I dry my car with a shamy leather every time I wash it. That gets rid of streaks.

I have washed my car in the rain too. It was dirty, but I didnt attempt to dry it though ;)

Once a year I will spend 5 or 6 hours washing it. I lost the picture with the 25+ Autoglym products that I use on it in the day.

I sat down on the drive for 2 hours cleaning my tailpipes, but when you see what its looks like when finished its worth it. :D See pic.

Stuart

Harve.......bottled water?.......is that sparkling or still?......

:D

re-arrange this sentence...life f*****g get a!!

;)

Stuart your pipes look immaculate!

What do you use to clean them,

Cheers,

F.T.

i always dry the car after washing, and i have dried the car 3 times in one day before inbetween rain lol :D

I'm with you on that one Stuart. I too use only auto glym products. Shammy is always done. The car gets washed every weekend, even if it's raining. This includes opening the dorrs , boot and bonnet and cleaning the seals.

Only optimax touches my petrol tank.

I was out repairing small holes in the zorst with gun gum in the dark and rain on tuesday nihgt. I was also rubbing down my tail pipes with wet and dry, took me about an hour to do but the chrome finish without any rust looks the nuts, shame I'll be getting a SS zorst within a month :(

LMFAO :D

They took the p1ss outta me at the GPS open day when I was filling my rad with mineral water! :D :D :D

Actually

Mineral water is not the best thing to give your Z!

It has loads of minerals which form deposits around your engine!

Go to a tropical fish shop and get some reverse osmosis water 90p for a gallon!

Mark retires to bed slowly disrobbing his anorak!!!

Ohhhh Kakamoto! :D

What's the right combination then? Tap water is supposed to be bad isn't it? Bakin' me noodle now! :D

Just pure RO water(thats what those in the know call it;) ) and the normal ratio of antifreeze!

Maybe I should flush the cooling system then! Never ending story. :D

Harve - does that mineral water thing work mate? i bloody hate it with dark cars.

My 300zx was black and my GTR is dark purple and can I keep the streaks off when I rinse it?? nahh grr:(

Extremes I go to:

How about driving round in second gear for the last month with a shagged auto box just so I can still pose?! LOL

Senna,

Yes bottled water does work. I buy the cheepest bulk pack from one of those Aldi/Lidl type shops about £2.

Make sure its from a soft water area :) Saves an awful lot of rubbing ring marks out. Especially when its sunny.

Tony - Ba Humbug - you don't know me, do you! I'll buy you a beer @ Billing :D Bless :)

harve

Chris C,

Why don't you buy AndyZ's manual gearbox conversion he's got for sale?

You got the car running right, now get the right gearbox!

You know it Makes sense!

;)

Mark

You're right Harve I don't know you!

But if you buy me a beer I soon will:D

I go to good old CMK sometimes with work,I'll keep a look out for an immaculate Z the next time I'm there!

Cheers,

F.T.

Cheers Mark I'll check that out - I hadn't seen anything about it!

Chris.

When we had the water softner fitted I specified that the outside tap should feed from softened water for washing the car. The effect is no smears using a jet wash to rinse.

Apparently its not too good for watering the garden - whatever that means!

If you are worried about smears!

Why don't you guys get a Hydra Flexi Blade by Autoglym, one of the best 10 pound notes I have ever spent!!

Mark

aree with Mark. You can get them in Costco for a fiver.

Vijay

Ok it was the best overpriced thing I have ever bought!

LOL

Mark
