Such a pity it cant be saved.

I agree Gary...

…..But selfishly I have taken advantage; and ordered the driver's side door glass. The window looks in much better shape than mine - and the blue UK spec glass is getting harder to come by

Thanks for the link Andrew

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

What is it about the drivers side window getting so scratched mine is the same. :(

Probably because it gets used more than the passenger side - and previous owners were not as diligent as us, when cleaning the car. I periodically give the inner edge of the window rubbers a wipe over with silicone, if only to keep them from getting mossy and ensure they remain supple.

I need a good scratch remover to see if it would work on mine.

I have been meaning to try that too - and I seem to remember Andy (Phutumsch) recommending a compound some time ago.... But seeing this white Zed being broken, I thought it prudent to buy the window anyway - as UK spec glass doesn't come up for sale that often!

I'm taking my Zed down to Jimmer's in two weeks time, so may ask him to fit the new window for me whilst it's there. If he has the time, that is...

….On top of the cambelt, service, ABS sensor, AC regas….

I think this will be the third, on my blue Zed. JeffTT did it just after I bought the car - and then did another 6 years ago, when the water-pump failed.

I'm on my second. Jeff did the first then Neil a mechnic over here did the second.

Just checked my history....

Zedworld 25/8/2009 at 70,481 miles

Zedworld 8/8/2012 at 84,702 miles

7 years and 30k miles on, I think it's definitely due that trip to Jimmer:wink:
