I've finally got a job again, so I'm back to surfing the web most of the day. Good news, because there's about 9 months of forum posts to catch up on.
The bad news is that the job is in Reading and Maidenhead, and I live in Bristol. Can anyone guess my fuel bill for 1000 miles of commuting a week? So the Z has got to go and I'm going to buy an Audi A4 diesel instead (not sure you guys should be laughing or crying at this, feel free to make your own choice)
The car is an 89 Jap-spec import, twin turbo auto, totally standard except for the necessary autobox oil cooler and import conversions. It has done 85k ish miles, has black leather seats, locking wheel nuts, alarm and immobiliser, factory mudflaps, sony minidisc/radio head unit plus cassette and 10 disc autochanger.
Price: £4800 including the minidisc and £200 worth of new front tyres (Bridgestone S03s) or £4500 without the tyres or minidisc (you can keep the CD multichanger though)
Just had new cambelt and water pump fitted (I have receipts for the removal of arm and leg), and it has had the dreaded PTU and heater matrix replaced within the last 2 years
Its been my daily driver for nearly 2 years and am very reluctant to sell but I just can't justify the fuel costs any longer.
I see the forum's changed quite a bit, I'm not too sure I like all the extra icons and graphics, it was bad enough trying to look like I was working with mostly text on the screen, I'm going to have to develop lightning reflexes now. Good to see most of the same old faces are still around :)
