Any recommendations for insurance for an Import Z TT??

Tried tesco but they want a tracker fitted. Tried Adrian Flux but they want £1600

I'm 29 with 2 years NCB, no crashes or claims. Car is a 90 import Twin turbo manual with a cat 1 alarm/immob.

Try the insurance factory 0121 622 6006 ask for Scot managed to get mine for £650 with basic mods

Try Liverpool Victoria. Not sure about imports but my insurance is just over £1400 with chip, exhaust, induction and alloys. 29 with 1 year NCB as I had a break in 3 years ago and an accident 2 years ago so lost other NCB's. Also have 4 points. Includes business use. Most other companies wanted about £1000 more!

if the car is a 90 you can get it on classic car insurance aswell

Try A - Plan they gave me the bets quote for an import, they have a dedicated side of their business just for imports.

They quoted me £1079 full comp, 4 yrs n.c.b 28 yrs old in a UB post code area which is a high price area. The car also has mod's, exhaust, wheels e.t.c. I was getting quotes from other companies for £1600 - £2500.

Give them a try you never know

They are on the web but I done the quote over the phone.

I'm not sure if http://www.firebond.com still do the classic car policy for Z imports but I have a UK Z TT and I paying £371 for 12 months. This was with a 6K mile restriction but when I called them last month to tell them that I needed to extend it, they told me that there would be no charge for an increase to 10K miles.

Try AON Insurance on 01384 552 670. They used to have a monthly advert in Jap Performance mag but they aint been in it for a while but they advertised an Import Policy and to be honest they gave me 2 good quotes with my 300 and the GT4 I had previously.

Thanks for the replies guys.....

I just called Liverpool Victoria and they quoted me £850 fully comp. That's 400 quid cheaper than the TPFT cover i have on my scoob.

LV is the first and only company i've called so far. Now to see if i can get a better quote from the rest :D

I never thought i'd be saving money by buying a Z. :D

I use Coversure Insurance Services, Underwritten by Norwich Union. Apparently nearly all Import car insurance is underwritten by NU.

Anyway I paid £780 (4yrs NCB) for Fully Comp. and Business use and wife ( but only when shes a good girl ). Got 4 points too.

They insisted on Cat 1 Immob. though.

CIS tel. no. 01225 774443 or http://www.coversure.co.uk/trowbridge

Helpfull and monthly payments for those not fush with cash.

I've just been quoted £510 fully comp, protected no claims etc from http://www.lifesure.co.uk. It makes me think about keeping the Z as a fourth vehicle. Hmmm

They did specify I need a CAT1 alarm though. How do I tell if my alarm is CAT 1?
