any idea what size boost jets can be run on a standard ECU with aftermarket intake and de-cat exhaust , I know SE do this but they charge £250

i have a blitz limited edition boost controller for sale, which is much better than jets, as these cause boost spiking and the end of your engine. its for sale at 250 +p&p.

cheers

steve

Steve does that include fitting ;)

Just noticed your in Yorkshire maybe not :p

looks like i have just sold it to jaz:).

fitting is quite easy though, there are links on how to do it, i did it myself without too much hassle.

look in the wanted and for sale sectino and read my thread on the sale of htis item and there are some links there on how to do it and also what it is.

happy zedding

cheers

you need to check against a decent boost guage.

i bought 2 of 1.2mm, & 1.0mm

1.2 wasnt enough (for me ;) ) so i put 1.0mm ones in, prob just a little too high.

if you can get hold of 1.1mm (I couldnt) then try these as well.

its best to start at a higher jet & work down.

HTH :)

How did you take the boost jets out? I thought they got sucked right down the pipe.

Stuart

how much r these jets, £250 sounds alot of money for two little cones of metal as baggins suggests, they look like welding tips n they r alot cheaper...... (young n nieve)

tell youb what, i'll goto halfords and buy some welding tips for 2 quid and then sell them to you as boost jets for the blow out sale price of 100 quid, that less than half your last quote:D

cheers

steve

hopefully not!!! get larger mig tips, they fit in nice & tight! i actually had to grind a little of the outside to get them in the pipes.

I can not find 1.1 either so would it matter if i put a 1.2 in one side and a 1.0 in the other giving the overall effect of 1.1

lol!!! not really a good idea, youd have 1 turbo wastegate opening at 1 pressure & the other side at another.
