Hi i think ive got a leaking rocker cover no oil on floor but smoke coming from the rear of the engine smells like burning oil how much roughly pay to have all four rocker/ cam cover gaskets / reseal at the same time get deletes done or should I tackle this at home as i would like to get rocker covers an plenum Powder coated why stripped down thanks

I’m doing the gaskets and deletes at the moment, very labour intensive and you need to know what you are doing. Have a look at some plenum pull documents, should give you an idea of how hard it is and work needed and if you like a real challenge.

I’m doing the gaskets and deletes at the moment, very labour intensive and you need to know what you are doing. Have a look at some plenum pull documents, should give you an idea of how hard it is and work needed and if you like a real challenge.

 

Thanks I've done rocker cover gasket on ford escort etc but when i look at the z engine the size an lack of space puts me off

Very much a DIY job if your prepared, if your doing a water delete then you can literally have the plenum off in 30 mins.

 

Make very sure you order you bits in advance such as gaskets and tubing and with some guidance here, some picture threads and the internet you will be ok, the two inner covers have gaskets, the two outers sit on a bed of sealant, and this is where you have to be very careful as this is the place they leak, back rear corners.
