Unorthodox Racing Pulley Set with Overdrive Water Pump Pulley and Belts

Hi guys,

I’m after a little advice, I’ve recently purchased the Unorthodox Racing Pulley Set along with the associated belts etc. as I looking for ways to increase hp whist at the same time it just happens I need to swap the alternator belt anyway. Hence as to why I bought this kit.

However, I’m now not sure whether this is a good or bad thing to do, the last thing I want to do is put additional pressure/stress on the crank or even other engine components themselves.

Has anyone had one of these kits fitted and are they any concerns I need to be aware of? Generally is this a safe and effective modification?

Cheers guys

I fitted an undersized pulley set 10 years ago and have never had an issue. Think I got them from Z1 motorsport.

Thanks for the reply bud. That’s reassuring then, where they a pretty straight forward swap? I’m presuming radiator out ? I’m not doing it myself but I’m just curious. Cheers

Just be wary you may encounter belt squeal. Its quite common with the alloy pulleys. You have to run the belts tighter to combat it

I’ve got these fitted no issues.

Are you doing the full kit so all 4?

It’s straight forward for a good mechanic really.
