Unfortunately Marsha & l had our flight cancelled on the 20 December 13:55 because of the drone activity at Gatwick.

EasyJet could only offer us a flight on the 27!

Yes got full refund for flight.

Have to see if we get money back for car park/ food & extra night hotel bill/ cancellation fee of apartment.

Just so disappointing more so for others who had children & far more personal matters missed.

Cant understand why the authorities cant take down a drone or find the people responsible for it. No electronic anti drone systems are set up at airports which is very disapointing.

 

I know you and Marsha like your holidays Art and sorry to hear that you are effected by this. Time for the Goverment to step up and take control of the safety of our airports.

Agreed, a pathetic state pf affairs in this day an age.

We can put unmanned craft on Mars, but cannot cope with a simple drone!

 

They should take a leaf out of other major foreign international airports.

That’s a real shame.

 

I hope the catch the culprit, so many people and affected, plus knock on as well. We still have stupid laws and health and safety gone mad, other countries would not have sat back and watched.
