Looking to get back into a 300zx again after many years of missing one. Ideally i need a project as i prefer to get it to my own standard. Looking for a rolling shell with or without engine/interior, as long as the shell is in fairly decent condition.

Well it was a sad story. Got it rebuilt, the engine was done by a friend of mine and it was such a beaut...but i was young and foolish...ended up breaking it to fund another project. One of my biggest regrets. I did hear from the guy that bought the engine from me a year or so ago and the good news he had around 400-500hp out of it and using it as a daily, perfect.

so, lesson learned older and wiser, i need one back in my life for life.

So I might have changed my mind. Now preferably with engine, running and MOT. Doesnt need to be a beaut though as my previous comments still stand. Thank you.

Oh I cringe when ever I hear "project car" so the start of the two or three year journey, annoyed neighbours, wife / girlfriend, bank manager etc.

 

Then the advert post, "unfinished project for sale, thousands spent "

 

Just my take on the many, many, many zeds here that never got finished or were close to over the past 15+ years.... and the ones that ended up in our workshop with a plea to please finish this for me, ( only to be sold after ??) and remember your first purchase will be the biggest, shinest set of wheels, that will be trial fitted for one day and then sit in the loft till they get sold off to recoup some cash to pay off the credit cards... cynical old me eh?

Ignore Mr Negative, the reality is that 90% of cars in the club are “projects” of some description, many of which have come a long way and have been thoroughly enjoyed by the owners.

Yea most are a ‘project’ of some extent. Even the minor things.

 

One thing I know for sure is, I can’t wait to get back behind the wheel of one.
