i aint in a broadband area... bastard BT

I was with Pipex until I lost my connection four times in two months !! No explanation, no appology, no nothing.

They had the cheak to charge me a termination fee as well even though they broke their own service charter.

To make matters worse they have continued to debit my account for the last four months.

Their customer service is a joke as well, takes on average about 40 mins to get through to anyone.

If you want my advice stay well clear even if they are cheap.

Now use ntl, no problems wot soever and it's faster .

I've been with Pipex for about a year now and always had great service.

I got it when they had free installation and you had to pay for the modem and micro filters.

Typical  just this very week gone with boltblue (£27.99 pcm) but no set-up fee, no modem or any other costs. Plus you also get £5 pcm to use on boltblue services.

So far very happy, good connection speed, good customer service (calls answered within 40 secs) and all was up and running very quickly.

Just watch out both pipex and boltblue are 12 month contracts.

Cheers

Martin

like david, iv been on pipex for a while now, always had good service

maybe you was unlucky robin :(

Don't get me wrong, when the service was running it was good, just the way my termination has gone has left a rather sour taste !

There is no 12 month contract with pipex, but you have to pay £50 if you terminate before twelve months is up, unless they break the terms of their charter (as in my case ), then it's up to you to prove that the service has fallen below that stated.

Quite how you prove this is beyond me.

Anyway for all you guys on pipex i wish you happy surfing.

Robin
