Iv had the car apart since the respray fixing various issues and finally can see the light at the end but have only one problem left and i cant figure out what im doing wrong.

Car is a 1990 Jap Import

Have a Clifford alarm installed and for years the central locking worked fine. All of a sudden the passenger side door lock does not work but the drivers side does.

Have the door cards off and there is a solenoid attached on drivers side, all fine....

passenger side door does not, have checked the Standard actuators and they receive power and work fine.

Cannot figure out what's wrong, it doesn't seem to receive any signal from the drivers side, is there a central locking unit on the car and where is it....

Iv searched for threads but can seem to find anything that i haven't already checked

What am i missing?

There is a module in the drivers door that sends the signal to the passenger to lock/unlock. I've had one fail on mine.

The drivers side central locking on a Z only works with the door lock. So they fit a solenoid that the alarm system activates to lock the drivers door which in turn locks the passenger door through the OE locking system. This means only one solenoid is needed for the alarm to lock the whole car.

If the drivers solenoid is locking the drivers door then you can either just get a solenoid fitted to the passenger side or fault find the factory fitted locking system. Could just be a fuse....

Does the passenger side lock from the drivers door lock with the key?

Sorry mate, just read this now....

Iv actually changed both of these already to find the fault.....

The passenger side does not actually lock either via the key or the central locking now. Any ideas?

What about from in side the car, if not possibly a linkage problem.
