Thinking about sticking front fogs of a jap mobile onto my UK car, apparently they go where the sidelights are.

So does that mean i have to connect up those stupid lights on the side that do nothing, making them do indicators and sidelights?

Anyone else here done this?

Any help would be cool.

Cheers:cool:

On a J-spec car, the fogs & sidelights are where your indicators & sidelights are, and the blanks become indicators..

Haven't done it though - I own a J-spec :)

Ah cool so it's just the indicators which need to be moved.

If the jap cars have the indicators there and they allowed there i assume its perfectly legal for me to put em there, just thinking about the differences in law like we need side repeaters etc.

Ill probably give it a go then!

Cheers aaron!

I have been waiting for the cash to do this myself. But the fogs or £90 each over here and $70 each from the US.

Where you gonna get them?

Also where you gonna wire them up to? The rear fogs? That means that you can only have the front and backs on at the same time.

Luke @ zcenter or Mike @ MJP sell em for £65 + vat each, not a lot cheaper but a bit.

It's not legal to have the front and back on the same switch fo some reason. This is the reason all J Spec's ae fitted with an additional button for the rears when they first come over here.

I think you also need whole new indicators. Those black covers are just that there are no bulb sockets underneath.

I fitted narrow fogs in the air intake gap instead. But even these dont seem to improve the lighting that much - they do pick out the kerb though. Trouble is if you use them in reasonable visibility you feel like all the other plonkers who turn on their fogs on crisp clear bright dry road nights when visibility is perfect. And on dark foggy rainy or seriously wet black road surfaces with bad visibility when you can legally use them you still dont see much.

Wired mine to a light up rocker switch and relay off course. Used a hole in the dash that had been used for the electronic key for some previous alam system.
