I got the car out this morning to take it to a paint shop in Worthing so they could see what they could do for my spoiler and paint matching (last time I visit somewhere, if they’re not helpful it’s time to think about a full respray.). When I drove off the drive there was a terrible grinding noise from the front off side. I pulled over straight away and confirmed the noise was coming from the front suspension area, it felt like it was coming from the FUCA. I drove it two miles straight to my local brake and suspension shop to get it on the ramps for a proper look but when we went back to the car the noise had stopped so they were unable to look for a problem. Thankfully I recorded the noise (I don’t know how to post it here) to prove I wasn’t going mad. Do you guys have any ideas what it might have been?
The car was last moved out and into my garage on Monday for a clean, but no water was sprayed around that area. Last driven for the Goodwood breakfast meet two weeks ago and didn’t have an issue then. It was a bit nippy this morning, say 4deg but I can’t see why this would cause the suspension to make that much noise (honestly it was very loud).
