After pulling out my interior I noticed there was a very blue patch of carpet under the rear bench. It got me thinking if the carpet was ment to be this colour and if 25 years and 100k miles plus had turned them black. I’ve attached a picture of the blue patch, do you think the carpet should be this colour? Also what’s the best was to go about cleaning the carpet?

Cheers,

Chris

The carpet from the factory was charcoal black. You sure that mark is not overspray or leather colour bleed?

I don’t think it’s overspray But I’ll double check. The leather was black so not that. It could be bleaching for some reason, though I would expect the carpet to go a lighter grey. It doesn’t mater as it’s under the rear bench, just wanted to make sure the carpet shouldn’t be that colour.

Any ideas how best to clean, steamer, scrubbing brush, small vax cleaner (if they exist)?
