I was told that the pin on the clutch pedal assembly had been replace with a threaded bolt, which over time acted like a saw and cut its way through the bracket until it met two holes. That day in Southampton, I put my foot on the clutch and the bolt broke through to the two holes and got wedged in it causing the clutch to be half engaged and there fore wouldn't go into gear. I need the whole pedal assembly: pedal, bracket, pin etc.

 

I'm glad its been sorted properly because the clutch was fitted wrongly and it was el cheapo unbranded as well, on top of that the starter motor was held on with one bolt... I guess this is the danger of buying a car and not knowing its history. Ill have to find all these bodges and shortcuts and fix them before it does some serious damage!

 

If anyone has the whole assembly from a car they broke, that would be incredibly helpful!

Normally sold as part of a manual conversion kit.

 

IMO you will be unlikely to find one.

Probably easier to weld up and redriill your existing one.

I have had to do the same thing on my old one. Welded up re drilled jobs a goodun
