This is on my vg30det engine. I'm sorting the engine bay & reducing all the vac lines etc.
This metal diaphram is on the back of the plenum near the bulkhead.
There is a vacuum 'container' on the inner wing & a electric solenoid by the air filter.
As I was uncertain of its role. I have removed the vac line from it leaving the diagram to atmosphere, blanked the hose going to it & removed the plug from the electric solenoid.
I have taken the car for a hard drive & it has made no difference to the performance.
If anyone knows it's job please help or I'll remove it all to clear space in the bay.
