Hi,

After recently saying on here I dont want to modify mine in anyway I decided to buy some wheels! The car just looks a tad too narrow from a side on view with the stock ones on so I changed my mind!

I've ordered some and then got a phone call from the place I bought them from to say they cant guarantee they will fit and its up to me if I want to take the risk!!! They said they might need spacing. Can you please advise if they will or not.

Fronts are 17" x 8J X ET35

Rears are 17" x 9J X ET35

Thanks very much

I think I'm too dumb for that! I tried but it just gives me a measurement at the end that doesnt really mean anything to me beyond how far out the wheel sits. I need to know if the wheel clears the caliper

You and me both Scott ! why do you think I just sent the link !! lol

Sure someone will be along soon that has experience that can help.

Jeff

I currently have a 8.5" wide wheel on the front which is ET35. I've fitted a 20mm spacer to bring it flush with the arch.

My rears are 10" wide and again ET35 and they sit perfectly flush.

Based on that, I'd say that you'd need spacers front and rear to make them flush, but there shouldn't be any issues with caliper clearance unless you have bigger brakes fitted.

The pad is the face on the inside of the alloy which mates flat against the hub.

Standard Wheels

7.5 +45 offset 7.5 inches = 183mm/2 = 91-45mm = 46mm from the pad to the outermost point of the rim.

8.5 +35 offset 8.5 inches = 208mm/2 = 104-35mm = 69mm from the pad to the outermost point of the rim.

Yours

8 +35 offset 8 inches = 196mm/2 = 98-35 = 63mm from the pad to the outermost point of the rim.

9 +35 offset 9 inches = 220mm/2 = 110-35 = 75mm from the pad to the outermost point of the rim.

So they are going to be 17mm wider on the front and 6mm wider on the rear.

The hub centre bore is 66.1mm

Your wheels are 72.6mm and 73mm

So you will need hub centric spiggot rings otherwise the wheels will be slack around the little lip on the hub.

Someone shoot me down if that is all *****cks. Please check my homework!

You legend thank you very much! I'm terrible with numbers so its all gone over my head a bit lol. I'm not a massive fan of spacing wheels out so as long as they go straight on and dont look wrong then I'm happy!

Thanks very much guys. These are the exact wheel I have bought.

If I go to the spacer route at what point do I have to change the studs?

They are very like mine except mine are 18" I had to put 25mm spacers on the front to bring the wheel out level with the wheel arch. If you use hubcentric spacers then you don't need longer studs.

Scott...I bought those very wheels for my Zed....19" Calibre Vintage from a company called 'Carnoisseur'....they too were a little concerned about caliper clearance at the front...and sent me a single wheel to try before sending the full order!

It was close...but they do fit  ....(over standard calipers)

The specification of my wheels are:

8.5 x 19 front

9.5 x 19 rear

Finish: Silver with Polished Rim

Front Offset: 35

Rear Offset: 35

PCD: 5x114.3

Quick Code: W544

I haven't used any spacers and think they sit pretty well

They came with a fitting kit which included wheel nuts and spigot rings :thumbup1:

You will need some spigot rings with these wheels as mentioned by GSC as the centers are 73mm and the Nissan hub is 66mm

Thanks GSC, you've got that T-shirt and it suits you lol. Nice to see the wheels on a 300 as well to see how they look. I like polished rims and they seem a very good price for the style. Have you found they clean up all right and hold their shine?

Good photoshop skills Alic, I think 19s 'can' look too big, they can also look totally at home. Those CC-R Wheels are beautiful mate.

I generally prefer 18s, it gives a nice ratio of tyre to wheel and the tyre doesn't look too skinny. But some wheels do suit 19.
