Now with Performance Direct £190 :cool3:

Wow that's a great saving Gaz. I take it everything was "like for like" excess wise?

Your better off having a higher excess charge if it reduces your premium by a significant amount.

The excess is only payable IF you make a claim and most likely you wont need to, whereas the premium is payable straight away.

The saving you make on your premium year on year by having a higher excess charge will far outweigh the cost of the excess in the event of a claim.

And i personally never bother with all the extras the insurance companies try to sell you.

All mods declared and agreed value. I do believe Insurance companies just pick a number and hope for the best. I just put my details into Money Supermarket Car Insurance and the quotes came up Howard and Performance Direct was not the cheapest quote but they looked better than the others. The other three cars are insured with Admiral Multicar which was a big saving also.

Red Nissan normal insurance with Admiral = £620

Black Nissan classic insurance with Performance direct = £189

All mods declared, both policies fully comp. Admiral allows NCB earning. Classic allows me to drive to work, agreed valuation of £2000 and I get the car given back to me for free if written off.

Not bad with performance direct, but 2000 will struggle to find you another TT if it gets written off.

Last year performance direct told me to increase the value of my z by 1k

Still under £200 to insure & as Alic said £2k is not going to get you a tt if it's a write off!

for me to insure my first twin turbo manual Z with 6 point is 485 im very happy with this . but is nothing compared to all of you guy's quotes
