On both my car's they have a crossthreaded bolt on the top and bottom seat belt bolt. Can anyone confirm for me on the thread specs so that I can get a large tap for it??

 

 

I have narrowed it down that I think it is:

M12 1.25pitch

However it may be an M10.

 

Can anyone advise?

M12 1.25 measured mine as ive got same problem ill confirm it in a bit though

7/16-20 unf for all seatbelt on every car

Are you sure it's imperial? (Almost) everything else on these cars is metric and 7/16 is 11.1mm which is rather far off M12 which I've seen elsewhere.

 

I will measure a bolt when I get back but it's hard to guestimate the pitch.

Thanks Pete. 7/16 x 20 is the correct tap. if you measure the bolt you can see its about 11.1mm. that tap worked great so I can fix all my cars now :D
