SR-3. Identical to Speed other than the "shoulder spikes".

Two different trims; confetti or navy/blue. They weren't optional as such, but came as part of a couple of trim levels.

Enlighten me ?

Okay, well I'll need to get a set in black leather to match my rear seats. Those stock seats aren't very good for trackdays and general hooning [emoji14]

The sr3s are great, getting the correct rails can be tricky and most seats will be in need of a rebuild these days.

FYI there's a style of bride rails that fit, fitted them myself. Though I did have to to space the seat up a bit to stop the slider bar hitting the seat

Very comfortable indeed, but a word of warning - getting in and out of them in a Z really sucks.

Ha ha yes they are but i still put myself though it even with my knackered knees

Bumping this, you say they are a pain to get in and out of, are they lower than the stock seats? I'm contemplating getting a smaller steering wheel because it hits my thighs but if the recaros are lower I might get away with it

Depends on the rail used to mount them. I have the factory Recaro rails on mine and they do sit lower than the standard seats. I have absolutely no issues with the wheel being close to my thighs whilst sat in the Recaros.

They're only a pain to get in and out of due to the bolsters (both upper and lower) being far more pronounced than the stock Z32 seats.

Great. I can live with that, it's not like it's my daily driver. And I've found it helps to run the seat back before you get out to make it easier to get in and out of with those types of seats

Also, and only a minor inconvenience, they're really crammed in there. The adjustment knob is difficult to access and they block the arm rest from opening fully without a bit of persuasion.

Mine don't block my armrest at all, Jay.

As long as it keeps me in place when I'm going fast I'm good [emoji16]

As others have said they are noticeably lower.

I've got a lwb and I don't think the seats are fouling my arm rest opening, doesn't ring a bell anyway! But then I couldn't tell you the exact model of seats I've got, look the same to my eye though!

But yes getting to the adjustment knob is a pain, have to remember to make sure it's alright before I set off! Also where my drivers side bolster is a bit worn it sticks out and touches the door, passengers side doesn't do it. I'm hoping Mondo you'll be able to work some magic when you do my interior on the GB! Magic or buying new foam is fine, I'm not fussy :-P

Oh and I also can't tilt the seat forward fully unless it's pushed back, so they are a bit of a tight fit

They're rare enough, but Japan is definitely the best place to look. Yahoo! and Croooober in particular.

You can't buy new anymore so you'll have to play the waiting game if you want original rails

Don't need original as long as it fits the car, if there are any. I see plenty rails when searching yahoo Japan for "z32 recaro", but not for the speed, only the SR series, but perhaps they fit the speed also?

Yes, they're almost identical seats.
