Where exactly is the sensor for this located as i got in mine today an inch of ice on it and it said 0 degrees ( must have been minus something) or do they only go down to zero. Might give mine a clean if i can find it!

Featured Replies

I think it's mounted on the inside of the front bumper so might not be easy to access.

Well i'll be in there changing bulbs tommorrow so i'll have a poke around.

I think they give up at 0 degrees, mine doesn't go any further.

Cheers!

I cant find the bloody thing can anyone direct me while ive got the idicitators/spotlights out??

According to mine it was 4C this morning..

Which is impressive, as there was ice all over everything :) Methinks it's not highly accurate..

There's an adjustment you can do via the a/c diagnostics if memory serves, there's a writeup on it somewhere - possibly on TT.net, failing that the manual.

I don't think you can see it through the indicator/fog holes, from memory it's about in line with the inside (middle) edge of the drivers side headlight, rivetted to the bumper, you can definitely see it when you're on your back under the car..

blimey, rapid response! I've done a search on here to no avail and also got lost in the online manual!!

Wake up Macca, bet you know where it is!!

Unless Macca has replied by then, I'll try and take a pic tonight - from memory I can see mine from the top now I have the Blitz style intake in there and no splashguard

Wicked, cheers:D

The temp always reads high when you first start the car up. I just took my sister home and it read 4ºC when I left and 0º by the time I got back and it was only 5 min round trip. I think it would have gone down more if I carried on.

Stuart

am I right in saying this is just on series 1 temp controller?

LMAO:D shhhhhhhhhhhh:o :o :o

OK, changed my mind - mine hit -1 degree this morning. Temp can't have dropped below 0 previously

The warm air around the engine must increase the reading when the car's been driven and then left standing. Air temp in the engine bay drops gradually when you start moving again. I've had mine reading 23 degrees when its not been far from freezing outside...

Cheers!
