clutch/gearbox linkage

Hi everyone,

when i press the clutch pedal there is a creaking, its coming from the gearbox linkage. Does it need a little grease or is it something more serious?

    In the first instance, try putting some grease on the clutch fork pivot ball/fork interface. You can get at it via the

    clutch fork cover on the bellhousing (by the slave cylinder). Put a blob of lithium grease (high melting point) on the

    end of a stick and apply. Sounds daft but it worked for me.

     

    Otherwise your clutch slave cylinder may be sticking and need replacement.
