I know this is a lazy way to find out, but its too cold out there to start experementing, need to change the sidelight bulb (in the spotlight, import model). Can anyone tell me where to start, i can see one screw at the front but i think thats just for adjustment.

 

In the meantime i just drive with the fogs on, as mr plod loves that.

Remove the indicator first - three 10 mm nuts if I recall correctly. Took me a while to work it out as well !

Are they a standard fit bulb or do I have to get them shipped from the edge of the earth???

standard fit, but the jap ones have a silver lense, I couldnt find any of these in halfords so i just put clear ones, which seem slightly brighter but work fine.

 

I sujest replacing both sides if you do get the clear ones.

btw, to get at the bulbs after taking the unit out of the bumper, you need to take the back of the light unit, there are 4 small screws.

Me thinks this is gonna be a bigger job than i thought!!

 

Anyone want to take bets on how many screws/ nuts i'l manage to round off/snap!!!!!!!????????:D

well if you are gonna do it at this time of night I'd have to say most of them :D
