Japspeed inner Tie rods

Am I right in thinking I cannot reuse the locking washers/collars that fit around the Japspeed front inner tie rods? Since there is now a 4-5mm spacer, the washer doesn't seem to collapse back over the new tie rods..

 

Do they become obselete?
