Yet another problem...

My clutches byting point is right the way out on the pedal (ie push the pedal in a cm or 2 and it will slip).

When i floor it it starts to slip at high revs.

Clutch doomed?

Perhaps a simple adjustment moving the byting point further down the pedal thus less likely to slip?? :p

Any thoughts much appreciated.

Thanks very much for that Stuart, describes my problem well so hopefully it will cure it! :D

if its already slipping it may help by adjusting but youre only prolonging the inevitable! :(

youre gonna need a new clutch.

Maybe, but the point is with the clutch pedal not pressed at all, it's still not fully engaged cos its not properly set up.

I could probably change gear pressing the pedal only about a cm maybe 2 down.

I dont think so. If the clutch pedal is too high up, it will stop the clutch getting full pressure on the flywheel. The clutch could be fine.
