Looking for a diff breather valve/plug, the one that sits on top of the diff in the centre just to vent off in the event of overpressure. Chucked mine in the bin by accident..

Car model is the 1990 TT Auto, UK spec.

Cheers!

Perfect! Just the diagram I've been looking for. Cheers for that

Ah **** got caught up in the excitement, that isn't the part I was after. The part I'm after threads into the top middle of the diff, UK spec breather. The rear one I've blocked off. But can probably be undone, and the top one closed off.. I'll figure out sometime

If you can find a bolt with the right thread pitch, this can just be capped off, if you have deleted the OEM diff cooler/setup.

I have a bolt that fits in fine, but the rear one is closed off too, so I'd have no vent at all. Can open up the one at the rear for a vent, but I'm not sure if its too low down and will result in a leak?

Hi,

the two IN/OUTS for the UK diff cooler can be capped off without issues. See attached photo of mine which I have labelled up for you.

Hope this helps?

Hi Buddy, Doing exactly the same with my underside and diff, I see you have capped yours did you have any issues at all after doing that,

Im only asking as I was advised to just put a pipe from one to the other.

I've also damaged my sensors in the back that look like spark plugs, and for the life of me I cant find replacements grrrr.

Hi,

No I haven’t had any issues since capping them off. Jimmer said he had done many this way without issue, so that was good enough for me.

Sounds like a pain getting the two sensors, I have never seen them are advertised new. Have you tried Mike F?
