Fuel pump hissing

Hi All,

 

Apart from the disturbing prospect of my sick autobox I've recently noticed that the fuel pump is hissing a bit when I start to accelerate - is this normal or is it on it's way out?

    Hi Rob, mine did that and I replaced the fuel filter and seems to have solved the problem. Touch wood:confused:

    Your fuel pumps on the way out mate. Could las for another 8 months. Mine did before I finally had to replace it
