hi all,

back again for advice and any info.

 

well after spending hours and hours removing the plenum to do the delete and clean my injectors i noticed one of the injector ceramic caps had cracked.

 

is there anywhere i can buy the cap also i would like to replace all o-rings.

any advice and info would be appreciated.

I did read somewhere the other week, that they are not needed. However if that were the case, presumably they wouldn't be there in the first place.

Pintle caps are designed to reduce the effects of heat soak baking any fuel residues onto the pintle

tips which can occour after engine shut down (heat from cylinders with open intake valves can rise

into the injector area). Over time a buildup of residue can lead to poor injector performance.
