Great news the venue is back in Peterborough, but £60 each when paying at the gate is still too much for many.

£20 for Saturday day ticket, but not parking on the club stand, or £45-£60 for weekend ticket.

It's definitely expensive for just a get together of clubs, but does seem to be on a par with Modified Nationals, and other similar events held with the same format.

It's the Japanese scene that is more expensive a five minute Google search reveals scores of bigger and cheaper shows. The link below is an organiser advert for three venues all interesting with a mix of new and older classics, food, entertainment, competitions etc. £9 for adult £6 for kids up to 15 years old.

No way is JAE better than these other guys, it's the Japanese factor, nothing else, would not mind but the last three JAE I went to were pants with maybe three traders and more lager swigging than car talk....shame I remember the early days of JAE at Northampton was brilliant, proper car show for enthusiasts, it's all got too serious and corporate these days, well the Japanese scene anyway.

Northampton at the Billing Aerodrome I think?

That was a great location too, went there in my first Z.

I'll be honest here and say that I really don't agree.. I went to last year's jae and to be fair I had a great weekend.

Its one of those events where you have to enjoy the camping and the whole experience.. I personally loved camping, that was actually a big part of the fun.

I wasn't bothered about traders as most shows you go to nowdays have nothing for the zed anyway.

Pitching a tent with a mate and having some card games and a few beers, listening to some music and cooking up some food.. It's just a great gathering of like minded petrol heads and some chill out and relax time

I don't think the event itself matters that much, good conversation and the crazy environment kinda makes it what it is..

If anyone else is going to go, I've already planned to be there with my mate so let me know if you're going..
