Good evening,

I've just joined as am thinking of getting a 300zx. It's a car I've wanted since I was young.

Well I figured the best place to start would be an owners forum. Hopefully any advice I might need I will get here.

So on that note a big thanks in advance.

U make it sound like it's covered in rust. There's much worse out there for more money. Decent car for someone.

Tom is right it's a decent car and it's an ideal project for someone as a first zed

Yes and to a degree you may be right. It is one I keep coming back to. Although you couldn't be much further from me. And it is probably more than I'd want to spend on a na. Not that I'm questioning the value of the car.

Don't let distance put you off finding the right car

It's always the same you never find anything on your doorstep when it comes to cars

I presume UK zeds had more protection from the factory. So unless it's been taken care of, an import that's been here a while could well be worse than a UK zed

UK cars were protected by the factory to the same degree as JDM for corrosion resistance.

Oh really? I'm surprised by that, good to know though

Does explain why it's so hard to find a good one!

There's a grey kitted tt on eBay for 4k at the moment. Don't suppose anyone knows anything about it? It is auto and after some research I think I'd prefer a manuel but could be swayed.

It was a grey one but having checked it's no longer listed. It was a little ott. Vented wings and rear spoiler similar to a late esprite.

Yes I have looked at the one Josh has listed. Looks like it could be a good basis. I'm afraid I do like a little bit of a kit on them rather than the clean oem look.

Yes I've got the right car for you

Sandy can you tell me a bit more about your car. When was the Cambelt last changed? What suspension is it running? What's been done to it since in the UK? Cheers
