Is octane levels in fuel an issue in a Z TT?

What fuel would you guys recommend for an import twin turbo? Is octane booster a good idea or can the timing sort itself out enough to compensate for the lower octane?

I've got a TT import and only use Shell Optimax.

Only use super unleaded or optimax,learned from previous zed,detting like a good un on unleaded crap,ghanged to super or optimax after being put right about this,hey presto,no detting,moral of story,better safe than sorry!Tony;)

Just to add you can use LRP,only if you have no cats,and as to wether its still equal to 4star octane not to sure,its getting well scarse anyway.

As for octane boosters,just speaking from observations this year at certain RWYB meets,if you add to much engine runs way too rich and performance drops,trial and error on this one i think

timmy - you forgot a hydrogen fuel cell conversion, aviation fuel & solid fuel for rockets!! :D

yeah OPTIMAX all the way, spoke to Shell about this and they are willing to guarentee 98 octane and say the typical rating is 98.6.

regarding octane booster, i noticed at trax a while a go i put to much in and the plugs could not ignite the fuel, had a horrible splutter all the time.
