Anyone know the diameter of the brake pipes?

I have found on the US forum that the flare nuts for the calipers are 10mm x 1mm pitch. Can anyone confirm that this size is the same for all the pipes that bolt into the "junction blocks" like the ABS unit please?

You will need a roll of 3/16 Copper Tube Brake Pipe and 10 mm fittings to match, these are readily available from your local motor factor, you will also need to invest in a flaring tool for between £10 to £15 such as this one>>>

Is it a special double flare that is required im sure I have read something on another forum about it? Sae flare does spring to mind, but as I have never done the job im

not sure what is used

There are a few videos on how to do this on You tube. Looking at the piece of kit I have to flare the pipe, its a two part process to give the SAE flared end. My tooling has 1 die, then followed by a second to give the SAE flare.

To be honest I am more worried about whether I will be able to flare the factory steel lines, that I am going to join my new Kunifer lines to.

Jeff, would this kit be man enough to flare the OEM steel lines?

Yes it will, takes a little more effort though, guess you mean the few connections where the steel and new copper meet? Will be fine if so, however if you plan on replacing with steel pipe completely ( not reccomended) a bigger unit would be better, maybe a bench type one.

Hi Jeff, yes was thinking exactly that where I need to join the kunifer to the steel lines. I won't be replacing more then I have to. But defintaley all of the rear, the front lines are really good, and seem to have faired much better, with protection.
