Right so drained my autobus after overfilling it! Luckily mine has the drain plug so we were able to do it the easy way. Roughly 4 litres were removed before it stopped coming out the drain.

Drain plug refitted and we filled it with a litre and checked the level on the dipstick and we go correct readings (5times) when warm and when cold.

This just doesn't seem right as we only put a litre back in? Can anyone advise on how this can happen I'm so confused :)

Normally we used to fill with around 3.5 litre after fitting drained box as some was left in pipeline cooler and torque convertor. However as you overfilled the cooler lines and torque convertor will be completly full, so with a litre fill plus starting to half empty the torque convertor ( 2 litre ) you almost there. Run up through the gears and check whilst hot and running in park, sounds like your almost done.

Thanks Jeff.. will double check tomorrow. Have you ever known an overfilled box and what symptoms did you see? I seemed to be getting bouncing off the limiter when burying it.. obviously I didn't know it was overfilled :)
