how safe

How safe do you think I can go my 300tt that has 127500 miles had turbos done around 90000 miles. Do you think just fit a air filter and a exhaust or can I up the boost a bit.

I think just a air filter and exhaust is my safe bet.

P.S. this is when I have sorted out my bushes and sills + clutch:eek:

you could do a compression test to help guage the condition of the engine.

Just because your car has done 120K, don`t necessarily mean there is a fantastic amount of wear.

Mine has done just over 70K and feels much tighter than a couple I test drove that had only done 30-40K. Its largely dependent upon how the car is driven. Excessive turbo usage means that the turbos will wear much more quickly.

If your car has been driven largely grandad style (like me) then chances are the turbos are not that badly worn, even at 120K. Compression test is the way to go though, just to be sure. Prety cheap too. My last one cost £25 (much better than the £92 +vat that nissan quoted)
