Now then everyone, first of all i'm new to this forum and new to the world of the 300ZX, so let me excuse my lack of knowledge to start with (not a complete novice, pretty handy with spanners, hammers.. well especially hammers..)
The car i'm asking about is a 1993 TT Auto, with a few mods, including an apexi boost controller and afm enrichment, which I do not fully understand, but have a good idea of
I have searched and searched for this issue i'm having and so far drawn a blank. I've seen a few posts and threads that are similar, but none quite cutting the mustard.
The problem I have with mine is it will sometimes fire straight up but mainly it will take a good few seconds / a couple attempts of cranking before it actually fires. As far as I can see, the fuel pressure solenoid has been bypassed so I don't think that is the issue. A little lumpy when it first fires up, rough idle for a couple seconds, but once it is running it is fine, no misfires or anything. Pulls like it should and what not. It's more often than not cranking for a while before it roars into life. I can't work out if keeping my foot hard down on the go-faster pedal helps it start or not.
I've read all kinds of horror stories about replacing the CAS if that is faulty, like not getting it right and struggling to get it running again.
Any help / advise will be greatly appreciated . I haven't yet checked for codes, but shall be doing shortly
