Hi!

I'm picking up a 300ZX Turbo auto on Friday, I had a few insurance quotes lined to and have just attempted to purchase the best one but they did not seem to be able to process the quote, I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the fact that the cars is an import ? Admiral gave me the best quote at £880 , being 21 I struggle getting classic policy's so I'm having to go with a mainstream insurer,

 

Anyone encountered this before or can offer any advice ?

give them a ring, very few can quote for an import online, I was insured with admiral until a week ago with 2 import zeds, all ill say is they don't cover modifications (they will insure the car but in the event of an accident they don't cover the mods only std parts.)

Oka thanks mate I'll give them a try tomorrow! I had spoken to a woman but she had a varying price to the one is was quoted and then couldn't process it for some reason, was it just a standard policy you had with them ?

Did you try Lancaster, they recently became a trader on here and so far have offered very competitive quotes.

 

As said give them a call, you'll get nowhere with online quotes.

It's not the fact of it being an import!

No disrespect but age has to come in to it?

My insurance is 180 a year

But 3x older than 21!

It could be? but they've generated a quote based on my age, and for something like a 2004 3.0 3 series I'd be looking at a similar price so I'll give them a call tomorrow and try to get to the bottom of it !

adrian flux buddy ... my car is fully insured for 7500... all mods declared... and i mean everythink.. 551.00 a year. if its your first year with a jap import most places will bump you alot. but after 12months driving it then your laughing its all down hill then...

 

my insurance was with three points an about 3 incidents.. sp30 an about 45k of incidents lol had a every bad year..
