Any swb zeds out there? Been looking for a track car the past few months & would really like another zed to play around with. So looking for a swb, any type & condition considered but would like a solid car. Obviously prefer a manual,TT or NA. Or a shell so I can start from scratch.

Fancy my silver slick top? Tt auto with head gasket gone on cylinder 5 only... Not had time or cash to sort yet, but if you fancy a decent project?

I nearly bought that a few weeks ago when it was reduced to £1000, wouldn't have paid that though. Saw it sold on eBay in the week for £600, I forgot it was ending.

You just missed out on mine bud:) that was...or is a cracker,Gary who bought it has done nothing to it it since buying it other than putting it in he's garage, where he said it's staying for the formidable future!!! This will be one to look out for in a few year if it ever comes up for sale again,it's a little gem:)

If you are serious about track day use then be patient and wait till a slicktop appears..

Have to agree with Pete, there's something about the slicktops that just suits the race track, my old lwb was fun, but the slicktop is so much better.

A slick top is what I'm waiting for. Hopefully one will turn up over winter

Will let you know if we change our mind on this one Tom

Would there be much difference between a targa top & slick top?

Yep.

targa top SWBs still flex like the LWB targa cars.....not under normal road use of course.

And personally I wouldnt like a glass panel above me on track.

Look around any race circuit.... do you see any/many race saloons or track cars with targas??

Still not convinced...... have a ride in mine.:thumbup1:

Tbh do you see any Targa cars these days. Point taken though. Have you strengthened the front wing to A pillar portion which is commonly commented on as being rather "flexi"

Guys, my last silver slicktop swb post still stands. T.mogsy have pm'd you my number. Just not had the time with splitting up, 3 z's, a camper and a little one to occupy! I'll be sorting it myself soon if you're prepared to wait, but with prices going north, it won't be for what it's currently up at! Only logged in today as I've locked myself out of my grey swb :-(
