I have a '90 TT with the full automatic heating system. It's working like it should but I was wondering, would it be possible to (easy way) convert it to the later system where you can choose blowerspeed and blowdirection? Would it only take the ecu to change or is it much more complicated than that?

You need the airconditioning ecu and the later series pod. Simple plug and play. The only thing you loose it the ambiance temperature on the pod. The rest is a good upgrade.
