It's that time of year again where the Zed's insurance is up for renewal. I'm currently with ClassicLine and they'd like £322.58 to insure her for the coming year.

 

I keep seeing people boasting about how they can insure their Zeds for £150 a year so I thought I'd give Footman James a try...

 

For a start, they don't recognise this club as being a valid one! I'm assuming that I'd need to be a paid-up member of Z Club or something?

 

And I couldn't get a quote from them anyway as apparently the Z32 is no longer recognised by them as being a classic and, even if it was, the modifications would stop them quoting anyway!!

 

So who do people use? How much do you pay? And why the bloody hell is it so difficult for me to get insured on this car?!

Good price Stephen and a few days ago we have managed to get 300zx.co.uk onto there list of classic car clubs. Some insurance companies struggle (though most don't) to see the 300zx as a classic car but as a club we hope to change their perception of the Z32 300zx.

Certainly mine is a N/A but with full body kit and recaro seats etc on the 99 spec,

Multi car policy with Admiral, the Z is £180 Subaru £200 and wife's Mazda £160 protected no claims etc all three with limited mileage of 5k per car.

Some insurers told me it would add loads, some said it wouldn't change anything. Think sky said it wouldn't, did you try them?

No. As was trying to keep all my extras. Adrian flux were the cheapest by 1800 last year so stayed maybe should shop more next year

You can cancel your current policy if you find a better one. I've cancelled a few policies in the past. It could save you a fortune this year!
