So, after buying the new suspension bits, I thought I'll get the car in the air and start fitting them.

So, the Rear Upper Control Arms are on. Had to hear up the bolts to crack them off etc but I managed in the end. Didn't do the hicas delete as I thought I'd probably have to take the knuckle out and press the old bush and ball joint out and I didn't have a press there so left it for another day.

On to the front, I started with the tension rods, managed one side without any real issue, the other side ruined my life!!! The bolt that goes through the bushing just will not come out, we got the nut off the end but no matter what we tied, hammers, heat etc the bolt wouldn't come out so must be corroded inside the bushing.

Anyway, I'm gonna have to cut the bolt, so anyone know where is best to get replacements?

I have to say, having bought pretty much the most expensive parts you can, I think they should come with new bolts tbh

That's a real pain, I think they should supply bolts, I will have to order a set when I replace mine, nothing worse than a new part and old bolt.

First off its a specific bolt made for that job, the only bolt you can get to replace it is a genuine one, secondly DON`T CUT THE BOLT !

If you have not already removed the whole assembly from the car do so, undo the two 14 mm bolts up into the chassis rail, and the two 17 mm into the member under the radiator and now it is on the floor its is easier to deal with.

Rather than beat out the bolt, you need to turn the bolt, you will need some kind of vice to put it in, drown the thing in WD40 and get that bolt turning with a breaker bar, it will release, never had one not release before. If you do want to remove it from the car you cannot get a socket on the head of the bolt due to the inter-cooler location but a really good ring spanner would and give it some heavy clouts with a hammer to break the rust and may work but not so certain.

Once removed the bolt will want a good clean and grease before using.

We had the whole thing off the car mate. I didn't have a vice there but did try a socket on the other side. We could turn (breaker bar) it but it wouldn't put out at all. I'll perhaps get it somewhere with a press maybe.

Do you know the part numbers by any chance?

Why would it be a different number for the passenger side to drivers side? Aren't they the same?

Just one with the ability to go over the bolt and socket. with a socket wide enough to go over bolt head.

That size is pretty beefy but yeah, the beefier the better. Will make mince meat of it.
