The tailgate has a fibreglass spoiler Siliconed onto it, unfinished. The type of tailgate is the one with a slot for the perspex strip with brake light, and still has all the wiring for the light and all the heaters.

It has a purple tint but is scuffed so removal would be recommended.

If someone doesn't actually to finish the bad condition spoiler, I can remove it and the spoiler will be given out free.

Offers please, or requests for more pictures. (No longer in the shed)

Dougal has first dibs, but here are the pictures i sent him:

So there are two dents on the near side, could probably filler them in quite easily.

A couple paint scratches on offide, could be sanded away and resprayed.

Rest of body is in pretty good condition:

There is some over-spray all over the glass:

But I was able to polish a patch off and comes quite clean, but hard to show in pictures.

There is some rust on the hinge faces, it might be easier to just unbolt these and get spare hinges.

A small amount at the top of the tailgate between the hinges:

Now that crappy spoiler job:

As you can see its a fiberglass spoiler, and scratched all over from an orbital sander, and some cracks in it, and also the spoiler was never seated properly so it doesn't line up at the sides flush. I suppose if you really wanted to you could filler in the cracks and sand everything smooth, but I reckon it needs to be binned and get a better quality one/shaved.

The scratch in the PURPLE tint, you may want to remove the tint completely.

Also to note that although the electrics are present, one of the heater wires is missing an earth to the body.

Argh, south London probably wouldn't be easy for me, I have a mate in St Albans but it's m25. Let me see what I can do and I'll get back to you, might be able to grab Saturday 4th if that would be okay from Wales?

I'll check schedule tomorrow, but that might be alright.

As long as you're brewing up cause I'm based in Lancashire so a good 4 hours to you haha

Ah no problem, you could always look for another closer if it suits you, but I'll try and accommodate it. In Wales I got my second Z which I'm trying to get MOTd and then flog it.

Since I'm on my way down that way anyway I don't mind a bit of a detour, if it doesn't work for you then I'll look a bit closer, but since it saves me paying postage etc it'll be worth it if it's good for both of us

Tell ya what, if you want to take off your accordion intake pipes, I can give you my na hard pipes if you want them. As long as I get the stock ones back, I need to keep the na in one piece.

Dude, I got my theory test next month, I won't be able to drive the Z for at least till I'm 19 lol

At least til you're 19? Now that's just mean ? what other parts have you got? Might take more off your hands if you're looking to offload?

Insurance is a bitch...

Not really anything, Anything that goes from my na needs to be replaced.

For spares I only really have a dented bonnet.

Argh I'm trying to find a viscous fan or I may just go full electric and yah, my first car at 18 was an Alfa Romeo 1.6 and that was 340 quid a month so a 300 is just gonna be mental money unless it's insured classic

Insurance the minute I pass the test is around 5k... so either I'm just not going to buy a car and wash all my money into the Z, or I've got my eye on a neglected corolla gxi near me.

Depending on if you can get it in multicar or something of that nature ti reduces nicely. But I'm 19 and insured year round for 300 quid! Bargain. Cheaper than my swift!

Last year, I did insurance per week when I wanted, pay 45 pound, insured for the week I chose (often 6 or so in succession over summer) and that stopped me paying the 1000 something they were asking. So you may be able to get a week in here or there ;)

Dunno if I'd want to yet, going from 40hp to 400hp :scared:

But it's a good suggestion to get to go to some shows about the year.

Very true.. Better slow and steady

Might have to look at multi car then and see how I can do it, not sure I could justify commuting in it though! Who am I kidding, of course I could haha! Yeah my fan has a cracking in it and I don't want it imploding into the rad

It depends on how serious the cracks are but I would say a large percentage of Zs will have some cracks on the centre section from engine heat and age.

Yah I know but if I can find one it's one less thing to worry about, she's definitely in a bad way
