So walking the dog in the Sunshine and the distinct sound of a misfiring engine came up the hill, the car in question a VW polo 1.2 was struggling to make it up the incline and as it struggled to passed me, I saw it was a local from a neighbouring property.

Now for those that do not know the 1.2 Polo is a three cylinder engine so with obviously one not working it was struggling on just two which is some feat in itself!

I popped around and suggested we have a look and low and behold a failed coil pack on the back cylinder so no mystery there then, but the plug on that cylinder was a shock to see, the amount of crude built up as it not been firing was amazing.

A new coil pack, full set of plugs and the little 1.2 was soon running ok again, amazingly the owner had put up with for 2 months thinking it was something much worse and expected to be paying out big Euro`s !!

No first for me too, making friends with the Portuguese people is so easy and help them once and they have your back for life its a nice way to be.

Still saving the day Jeff, your new neighbourhood don't know how lucky they are.......yet!!

I can see you coming out of retirement once the word gets out, you'll have the locals parked up on your drive in no time! So jealous, bring on my retirement to France!
