Right, my alternator belt came off a few weeks ago.

Im working from above the engine as at the moment it doesn't start and its quite hard to roll it onto blocks.

Ive just managed to loosen the PS belt and walk it off the pulley.

Ive slipped the Alternator belt over the fan and PS belt and it fits very easily over the alternator and water pump. I was expecting it to not go over as I haven't loosened anything on the alternator :confused1:

Where are the bolts for tightening the alternator??

ill probably find this out in a min after more searching but im just worried that something's broken as its just slipped straight over and its loose. Does that sound possible or do you think I can just tighten it back up again?

Thanks for any replies.

There is a top pivot bolt which would till need to loosen to allot the alternator tro be tensioned, then on the bottom there is a threaded bolt sideways which is the tensioning bolt, and there is also a bolt behind that (with the head facing the engine) which you will have to loosen to be able to loosen the tensioning bolt. when both the top bolt and the bottom bolt are loose, you can start loosening the sideways tensioning bolt until the belt is tight, and then tighten everything else.

Sorry if it is a bit rambly, here is a video explaining it:
