Nora Bone = real friend of my mums and one of my mates Kerry Blows, joined the Army and for 2 years was known as Private blows! How unfortunate, but character building.......she had a hard time!!

One of my mates sister's name is Tessa Watkins. She's a journalist at a local newspaper, so when she's on the front page it invites you to email her at...

Despite her telling them, it was years before someone senior noticed and changed her email address

LOL - that'd be the swear filter then..... And just [don't] try typing that well known town in North Lincolnshire....:biggrin:

 

But back on topic, there are not many folks called Algernon, Egbert or Cuthbert these days....

 

....And as for parents who didn't give enough thought to the names they gave their kids.... I knew a couple of the surname Ball who had twin boys - they named them Terrance and Horace. So Terry Ball and Horry Ball....!!

 

A friend of mine worked with a chap called Dick Ramsbottom....

 

And let's not forget poor old Richard Head or Wayne Kerr......:lol:
