£5000 for a tidy, unmolested, rust free zed?

So, £5000, am I dreaming or is it possible? :)

I'm back in a position, again, for a zed (until something else catches my eye and eats my money)

Just wondering if it's a realistic expectation to find a nice one within my budget?

Sell me your tidy z :)

Mark

Looks clean! Shame about those dreadful rear lights though.

Not too painful to sort at that price though! Looks like a nice car; I can spot very little wrong with it. Hope it's not rusted to ****!

Same! Only the ebay rear lights and state of the door cards. Those can both be changed along with the ebay indicators . Rear spoiler isn't quite my thing, but it is a Bomex item and well made.

All I'm seeing is a ding near the aerial (which looks like it doesn't work), and some small bits of rust around the engine bay and on the boot release mechanism. Nothing major.

Indeed, nothing that can't be sorted - providing the chassis is rot-free, it's a great project car to turn back to stock and clean up.

Fairly sure there are a few cracks on the rear bumper also.

They look more like scratches to be honest. The rear bumpers seldom split.

nice car, with the same wheels as si to

No they're not!

loosk just like them apart from being black

They are both BBS wheels, other than that...

They're completely different. The ones on the black car are BBS RS replicas - same as Gary's. Mine are BBS LM (originals).

Those mags are from zclub.net. Will be worth a nose over there to find some history as the amount of subscriber issue magazines suggests the owner resubscribed for some years.

Sold yesterday afternoon !!

I was planning looking at it today and then getting a professional inspection for peace of mind after bank holiday weekend.

Looks like the search for a very good & sorted example continues...

Garry has two more coming up for sale soon.

Hi there. Sorry you missed out on the one you were going to look at. I have an absolutely incredible Silver manuall TT coming up in a couple of weeks. It has covered just 18,000 miles in 26 years, and was a one owner vehicle in Japan. Depending on your budget of course because this one is going to be around 9-10k. If you would like to be considered I will get you the pictures before anyone else as I did with Derek's purchase 2 days ago. LMK Garry

I also have a black manuall TT which will be available in about 4 weeks. Totally rust free but was used as a drift car in Japan. I have had a brand new clutch put on along with a new set of tyres and track rod ends. It is now MOT'd but just waiting its turn to have some paint work done to rectify a few blemishes from its track time. It has been race tuned so will be very quick. more info on this one later but I expect the price to be around 5.5k-6k

Thanks Gazwoz.

I was looking at an auto TT as I am a bit of a lazy driver.

Is the manual more desirable than the auto ? Less to go wrong ? Cheaper to buy ? Nicer to drive ? The only reason manual puts me off is sheer amount of traffic everywhere!! ...clutch up, clutch down, clutch up, clutch down...and then My left leg feels tired after blast on the open road because I have had to endure m4 or m25 traffic chaos.

As far as my budget goes it is about 5k ...but for a well sorted version I may be able to tip a little bit of the maintenance budget into the buying price if I don't need to spend anything on it for the first year.

It needs to be a 2+2 as thats the primary reason I am changing out of my weekend toy, mx5 mk1 eunos roadster. It will mainly used to take the wife and kids out and about with me on sunny days and commuting to work (30miles) a couple of days a week.

I eagerly await your stock updates and hopefully we can find something that works for both of us
