Trying to resolve my "stalling when cold idle" issue. I disconnected the TPS this morning to see if it did anything. No change at all. So is this right, should there be any change?

Going to get a multimeter this afternoon so I can check voltage..

Hi

Interested in this as i am having simular issues. Is your car an auto/manual? i get this intermittantly, cold and warm, mostly when braking hard.

Worth checking the PCV valves and hoses, mine were completey full of residue, helped but hasn't solved the problem....

Pop off the boost hoses that feed the throttle bodies, ensure the butterflys are fully shut. Take the TPS off and rotate the hole that the spindle sits in fully clockwise. Use a multimeter and check the continuity of the Hard Idle switch (middle and bottom pin). This switch reverts control of the idle to the idle control valve.

If you have continuity then reinstall the TPS. You then need to set it to between 0.40 Volts and 0.50 volts WHILE ensuring the hard idle switch is engaged. Have a read of this for further on the TPS https://z32.wikispaces.com/Throttle+Position+Sensor
