Hi , do all twin turbo models have a turbo boost gauge in the dash layout as standard?

Looking at a 1998 TT model and it doesn't appear?

Newbie question btw :-)NB Can I get a 1998 TT manual on line,an owner's more than tech manual? Cheers

Yes unless they have had an engine swap, in which case you can check in the engine bay it will have two pipes on each side instead of one.

You will have to ask the others about the manual, i just downloaded the online one. i believe there is another manual similar that came with the car but i may be mistaken.

you cannot find a 1998 TT because they stopped production in 1996 :P.

Oh, ian knows better than me. Sorry

One thing to note about the models after 1996 is that they only have single cams because of emission regulations so make less power.

Not true dude, later TT models dropped the variable cam timing and went the a 16 bit ecu but all are dohc

Thanks Ianl , I kinda thought this was the case but was unsure as to why they would do this, no probs and thanks for the advice.

Mines a Nov 1994 and no boost gauge out of the factory, there are later series clocks out there with factory boost gauges but these are very thin on the ground but I did acquire and with a boost solenoid and a few bits of pipe mine was up and running in no time :cool3:.
